About Ascendly

Opportunity should depend on what someone has proven they can do — not who they know or where they studied.

The problem

Most real growth happens outside formal qualifications: through mentors, projects and work on the job. But that growth leaves no trustworthy record. Mentorship happens in calls and chats and then disappears. Young people with genuine ability struggle to prove it to anyone outside their own network, and employers are left relying on self-reported CVs.

What we do

Ascendly turns mentorship into verified evidence. An Ascender works with a Mentor, uploads proof of what they produced, and the Mentor reviews and verifies it. Verified work builds a Portfolio that recruiters can trust — and that the Ascender controls.

Who is building it

Ascendly was founded by Anele Nqari in Johannesburg, South Africa. Anele started Ascendly after living the problem himself: he had real ability, but no way to prove it to anyone outside his own network. He built the platform end to end — web app, mobile app and backend — and it is live today.
